Tough WorkOut

Like everybody else I suppose I needed to get in better shape. I did not want to run or even do any exercise walking, not as the heart of my program anyway.

So I got a heavy bag. Regulation size at 80 pounds. Heavy bag stands are a necessity when you have concerns about the ceiling you're going to hang it from. I got one so I could move the thing outside on the back patio for Winter ( I live in Florida).

What a workout! I probably went about 15 minutes at something less than full speed and my arms turned into dead weight cookie dough. It took a good 10 minutes after the session before I felt like they were really going to work again. My footwork isn't pretty either but I moved around. My hammies have been plucked.

You get to work out a little frustration/aggression too. It'a great workout. And it's not boring like walking around the neighborhood.

More power to the guys who box for a living. They say George Foreman hit so hard that he used to turn a heavy bag into a distorted marshmallow. That takes some doing, believe me. The heavy bag is not like a rock but it's no pillow either. I'm glad I got some decent Everlast heavy bag gloves. Your hands take some punishment.
